We have all hardwood flooring in our house (except the bathrooms and kitchen) so when Baby B falls there isnt much softness (carpet) to be there when he does. Ever since he learned to walk he has always been a little clumsy. We tried regular slippers but not a good idea for a wobbly toddler on hard wood floors. They were to slick for him and he was always slipping up or falling down. I was in Target last week looking for me a pair of new slippers when I came across something I wanted to try on Baby B. Have you seen or heard of Skidders? Baby B is sporting a pair of "Sport" skidders. A dark blue color with footballs, baseballs and basketballs on them along with little red stars.
Skidders is a footwear collection for kids. They are available in sizes 4, 6 and 8. For ages 12 months (foot size up to 4.75"), 18 motnhs (foot size up to 5.25") and 24 months (up to 6"). Baby B wears a size 7-8 shoe and he fits the 24 month size perfectly but it does vary by child so be sure to know the measurment of your chids foot before you get a pair of Skidders. These shoes are made for indoor AND outdoor wear. The outsole is made of rubber for better traction when learning to walk (or if you have hardwood flooring haha). The upper material is knit so their little feet don't get so sweaty. Baby B has some sweaty feet so I was hesitant as to wether these would make his feet even more smelly when they came off. We were in luck though. The skidders have insoles that are anti-microbial (like odor eaters) so no smelly feet even if they do sweat while wearing them. They are pretty easy to clean too because skidders are machine washable.
Baby B wears his skidders everyday at home and they have been washed a few times and they are still going strong. He can even run around the house without falling down. I can honestly say I love Skidders shoes and Im not just saying that to get you to buy them. As a Mom I always want what I think is best for my children and I think Skidders is a great product. Baby B is more confident when it comes to getting around the house when he has his skidders on.
Want to get your little one a pair of their own? As I said above I found Baby B's Skidders at Target for $12.99. Want to win a free pair of Skidders? Of course right? Michael from Skidders as graciously offered one of you a pair of skidders in style and size of your choosing.
Mandatory entry: Go to Skidders and pick out a design you like. Come back here and tell me what your favorite is. Which brings me to another good point to make about Skidders, they have just as many boy designs as they do girls! So dont think just because you have a little boy he can't be as stylish as the little girls.
