This Joy Break is sponsored by Kellogg’s joyböl. Parents, 2020 has been something else hasn’t it? I am thankful that my job closed all our offices and allowed everyone to remotely work from home. The teens finished last school year out at home remotely as well and will be starting up the new school year going to school 2 days a week and doing remote home schoolwork the other 3 days. Combine all that newness with trying to keep everyone safe at home we have been spending a lot of our days inside these 4 walls since March. I am still taking my online courses for my bachelor’s degree too. Thankfully one of my recent classes has pushed me to get outdoors more this summer (in our own yard or social distanced in very few public places that we have been). I had a digital photography class which had me chasing Kaylee around all summer. I loved every moment of it. Photography is my “joy break”. This past weekend for example, I had a few of the new Kellogg’s joyböl tossed in my camera bag with a bottle of water when we
headed out to a local sunflower field to pick some sunflowers and to take some more photos of Kaylee.
Kellogg's joyböl
Kellogg’s joyböl is a great breakfast or snack while on the go. You just add cold water (or milk) and stir and you have a delicious smoothie bowl. The joyböl smoothie bowls are available on Amazon and you can find it in three flavors: Strawberry Almond Quinoa, Superberries Chia, and Chocolate Hazelnut. I took a break in the middle of the sunflower field to enjoy a strawberry almond quinoa for a quick and easy protein snack pick me up. The joyböl granola smoothie bowls offer double digit protein, you don’t need a blender, fridge, or barista to whip one up, and they each include real ingredients like fruit, chocolate, nuts, and granola. You get the smoothness of a tasty smoothie with a nice crunch mixed in from the granola.
joyböl joy break
Getting outside with the kids has helped my sanity this summer. Photography has become a new outlet for me. It brings me joy to be able to spend time with all of them and to capture the moments of what 2020 has become for us as we all attempt to figure out a new normal. I used to carry protein bars with me, and I am glad that I found the Kellogg’s joyböl to break out of the protein bar rut. I think the strawberry almond with quinoa is my favorite flavor of the three. Second would be the Superberries chia and third would be the Chocolate hazelnut. They are all
great, I only rank them in that order on my own personal flavor preference. No matter if you are sitting in your car waiting on your store drive up delivery to come out to you or if you are chasing your three year old around a sunflower field, the Kellogg’s joyböl should be in your bag with a bottle of water for a quick and easy breakfast or snack on the go.
Friends, please make sure that amid all of the new things that we are experiencing and dealing with right now that we are still taking time to take care of ourselves. We are all in this together. Try not to lose those little moments of joy.
