    disclosure
My oldest boy didn't attend pre-k so when it came time for kindergarten I wasn't sure if I had worked with him well enough to know for sure he wouldn't be behind the learning curve for school. He did very well in kindergarten so I must have done something right. He has been a straight A student from kindergarten to second grade. He will start third grade this fall and my youngest will start kindergarten. He didn't attend pre-k either and again I feel that mommy guilt once again that I didn't work with him as much as I should have. Part of our getting ready for kindergarten this year involved the pre-k Schoolies board books and flash cards from MacMillan Kids.

We have had our Schoolies board books, reading books and flash cards for a few weeks and my 5 year old has enjoyed them very much. He likes that he is allowed to put stickers all over and write in these books without getting in trouble, Mama even helps ha ha. His favorite is the school house book with the fold out pages where he can make up his own stories about school. He likes tracing in the let's get ready for school book too. It has a variety of things to trace and learn not just the ABC's. It also has shapes, numbers and words to learn like names of colors.
