Am I a hotdog? Jeepers Peepers game review

We have a closet shelf full of nothing but board games and most recently we have added Jeepers Peepers to their collection.

My boys enjoy being silly and Jeepers Peepers lets them do just that. From the look of the over sized glasses you have to wear to the questions you ask to the objects on your cards- it's all fun and silly. The two boys were giggling through out the entire games we played. With Jeepers Peepers you get 6 colored (they remind me of the where's waldo glasses), cue cards to help the players think of questions to ask, 101 cards with different pictures on them, a light up spinner, bucket of tokens and an instruction book. In the 101 photo cards all of the pictures are grouped in 5 categories- food, animals, people, things and transportation. The pictures were all easy to recognize even for our 5 year old.

They picked out their glasses and they chose cards (without looking at the photos) and I attached them to their glasses.

They took turns asking their yes or no questions. Big B made a comment that Jeepers Peepers was like a game that he used to play at school where you were bands on your head but that Jeepers Peepers was funnier. Jeepers Peepers is also known as the ask and answer question game. It's one of those sneaky learning games that not only seems fun to the children but helps them learn skills while they are having fun. Skills? Yes. The Jeepers Peepers game is fun but it also helps the kids with their describing skills (Does my food have to stay cold?). It also helps with their question building skills, categorizing skills, problem solving skills and all while they think they are just playing and having fun. Every time one of them would get a question correct they got to spin the spinner. You push the button and the light goes around on it own and stops where it wants to. No moving the arrow on the spinner and saying it landed on a higher number (how many grown ups did that as a kid?) with this spinner. They either will get 1,2 or 3 tokens for each correct question they get. Once everyone has guessed what is on their cards everyone adds up their tokens (counting skills) and see who has the most. The person with the most tokens at the end of the game wins.

Will Jeepers Peepers stay in our game closet collection? For sure. I love watching them have fun and knowing that they are working their brains at the same time. Apparently I'm not alone in saying that this is a great game because the Jeepers Peepers game is a multiple award winning game. The few that they show on the side of the Jeepers Peepers game box is not even half of what the game has achieved.

You can purchase Jeepers Peepers directly from Super Duper Publications or you can find it online at Amazon.com.
