CHILD HUNGER ENDS HERE! BLOGGER CORRESPONDENT

The ConAgra Foods Foundation is leading the charge to raise awareness of child hunger in America. Did you know that nearly 1 in 4 children in America don't know where their next meal will be coming from? Hunger is a reality in America, one that more children face every day. Food is their chance for a better tomorrow and a strong foundation for the future. Hunger has no prejudice, sadly it's everywhere. Do you know what a hungry child looks like? It could be your next door neighbor, a child from your Sunday school class at church or a friend of your child. About 20.5 million children depend on free or reduced-price school meals to help keep them from going hungry. I grew up on the reduced priced meal plans at school and know of families that need to visit the local food bank just to make ends meet sometimes so I know what it's like.

Thanks to The ConAgra Food Foundation and Feeding America we all can help get meals to the children that need them. Just buy purchasing participating ConAgra brand products that have the Child Hunger Ends here red push pin on them, you get an 8 digit code. With each of the codes that you log in at ChildHungerEndsHere.com you are donating a meal to Feeding America. I purchased a few participating ConAgra products from Wal Mart the other day. I set out on a #ChildHungerEndsHere scavenger hunt for ConAgra products that had the codes on them. I was looking for:

    Marie Callender's Meal Bakes
    Chef Boy Ardee Ravioli
    Healthy Choice Steamers
    Healthy Choice Mixers
    Healthy Choice soup
    Peter Pan Peanut Butter
    Kid Cuisine
    Banquet Frozen Meals

I found 6 of the 8 products at my local Wal Mart. So I now have 6 codes to log in at childhungerendshere.com. You can view my scavenger hunt in the slide show below that I did using ThisMoment.com.

I also have a short video showing you just how easy it is to get your codes logged in to get meals to the many children across America that are in need of food. Ignore my lack of video making skills and just listen to the message I have to share 😉 Or if you'd like to see a better video than mine you should give the Child Hunger Ends Here YouTube Channel a watch.

I am so thankful for having the opportunity to share Child Hunger Ends Here with all of you. My boys go through a jar of peanut butter like it's nothing but to a child who is hungry and doesn't have the food they need a jar of peanut butter is something. So while you are on your next Wal Mart trip pick up a jar of Peter Pan peanut butter with the red push pin on it and once you have it at home log your code in to get a meal to a hungry child then you can donate the jar of peanut butter to your local food pantry to get twice the meals from your 1 jar. You can also text "FEEDKIDS" to 50555 to donate $10 to Feeding America. $10 donated = 70 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local food banks! Please join me in putting an end to child hunger in America. Child hunger ends here!
