Arby's Hungry for Happiness mobile tour in Baltimore 8/20 #NoKidHungry

If you've been a reader of Mama Bee's for a while you may know that I am a advocate against child hunger. When children in need are in school they have the comfort of knowing they can get breakfast and lunch through the program at school but during the summer they may not be that lucky. Lucky shouldn't be a word used when it comes to getting fed every day.

Arby's hungry for happiness NoKidHungry

Summer continues to be a vulnerable time for those who rely on school breakfast and lunch during the school year. In Pennsylvania, only 18.7 percent of school children who rely on free or reduced-price school lunches during the school year currently participate in summer meal programs. The Arby’s Foundation, the charitable arm of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc., in partnership with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign, is committed to helping kids get the food they need.
The Hungry for Happiness mobile tour is stopping at the Gambrills Arby’s to raise money for the Maryland Food Bank. Twenty percent of sales during the party will go directly to the Maryland Food Bank, a nonprofit hunger-relief organization, leading the movement to end hunger throughout Maryland. The event will have fun summer activities for kids such as hula-hoop contests, tug of war, bean bag toss, basketball and other family-friendly games to get kids moving.

This event is happening August 20, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the Arby’s #7178 location (2623 Brandermill Blvd, Gambrills, MD 21054)

    I had no idea that Arby's does this as a Charity. I have always LOVED Arby's and what a cool thing to learn about them. My favorite is the Reuben, however a roastbeef with chedder and that famous Arby's sauce isn't bad either.

    My favorite sandwich is the regular roast beef smothered with Arby's and Horsey sauce! I love their potato cakes and Jamocha shakes, too! YUM!
