October is breast cancer awareness month. For the past couple of years I have been buying the Yoplait yogurt for the pink lids to help support breast cancer awareness through the Susan G Koman for the Cure foundation. I love my Yoplait yogurts so if I was all ready buying them why not take the time to save the lids for a great foundation right? Why toss them in the trash when I could do my part to support a cause that I believe in very much.
For 5 years, General Mills has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation to bring breast cancer support to local communities, and this year they are making their annual donation of $2 million to the foundation to advance breast cancer research and support education and community outreach projects.
We all can help give back by purchasing our favorite cereals or snacks! This October, by making simple everyday purchases at Sam’s Club, you can help support breast cancer education and research. Sam’s Club stores have been featuring exclusive pink packaging on some participating General Mills products in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
When we purchase specially-marked General Mills products like Cheerios or Fiber One 90 Calorie Brownies for example, at Sam’s Club we get to help decide how half of the General Mills contribution will be donated by voting at PinkTogether.com from now until April 14, 2012.
Giveaway: I have a $25 Sam's Club gift card to giveaway so one of you can buy participating General Mills products to help support breast cancer awareness too.
