One of my favorite meals is alfredo pasta. I like it by its self, with broccoli or chicken or shrimp. One place that I think has really good alfredo pasta? Olive Garden. Now this is not very diet friendly but oh so good. I make it occasionally (once every couple months) as a treat for myself for dinner.
Olive Garden Alfredo recipe
Ingredients:
1 box alfredo pasta
1 stick of butter
1 pint of heavy cream
1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
2 Tbs. of cream cheese
1 clove of minced garlic
Salt & Pepper
Directions:
In a large pan begin to cook the alfredo noodles.
While the noodles boil you can make the alfredo sauce.
In a medium sauce pan, melt the stick of butter and add the minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the heavy cream and the cream cheese and heat until it is slightly bubbling (not a rolling boil of bubbling).
Add the shredded Parmesan cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.
Season with the salt and pepper. I use more salt than pepper. To each their own right?
Drain the pasta.
You can either add the noodles and sauce all back to the pan and mix it that way or add some pasta to your bowl and then pour the sauce on top of each. I mix it all together. Again, it's all in how you want to do it.

This is almost identical to Olive Garden. I used almost 2 cups of Parmesan instead of the 1 cup in the recipe. It was delicious!
