This post brought to you by TruMoo. All opinions are 100% mine.

My boys love their TruMoo milk. They were confused when they came home from school and they found no TruMoo chocolate milk in the fridge. I told them that there was some TruMoo milk in there it just wasn't chocolate this time. I picked up some of the new TruMoo Orange "S"cream milk.

Before they could drink the entire container of milk I saved some for me to bake with. I used a boxed white cake mix, 3 eggs, ¼ vegetable oil and just replaced the 1 cup of water the recipe on the back of the box called for with 1 cup of TruMoo Orange Scream milk.

I made a cake just to tear the cake apart. My boys thought I was silly. I told them I'd save them a couple slices of cake but most of it was going to be turned in to something else... I took my orange cream bundt cake and turned it in to eyeball cake pops.

Eyeball Cake Pops

Ingredients:

1 box of plain white cake mix

¼ cup vegetable oil

3 eggs

1 cup of TruMoo orange scream milk

2 cans of cake frosting/icing

Non stick baking spray

white candy coating

red candy coating

black candy coating

blue, brown or green candy coating (this is the eye color you choose)

Directions:

In a large bowl with a hand or stand mixer, mix together the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs and milk. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (F). Spray your cake pan(s) with the non stick spray (I use Baker's Joy). Since you are not decorating the cake and are going to just crumble it up once it is baked and cooled the cake pan(s) you use is completely up to you. You can use 2 rounds, a 13x9 or a bundt pan. For this recipe I chose my bundt pan. Bake the cake for 30-35 minutes or until done. Let the cake cool about 10 minutes and then flip the cake over on a rack to finish cooling. Once the cake is completely cooled you can crumble that bad boy up. Once the cake is crumbled you'll mix in the cake frosting. Once you have a dough like consistency you can roll out the cake pop dough in to balls. Once you have all the dough rolled out and placed on wax paper covered pans you'll need to place the cake pops in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes. While the cake pops are chilling you can go ahead and melt the white and red candy coatings. I put the white in a large bowl and the red in a Wilton pastry bag. If needed you can thin the candy wafers down to make it easier for dipping by adding a small spoonful of Crisco shortening.

You can use a toothpick, spoon or two forks to dip each cake pop ball in to the white candy coating. Take the melted red candy coating and spread about a tablespoon full on to the wax paper. This gives the eyeballs the bloody splatter effect and a base to sit on. Take the white covered cake pops and place each one on a separate red blood splatter. Let the candy coating harden, this only takes a couple minutes. If you mess up the white coating as you place the cake pop you can cover up the mistake with a little red candy coating. Next, take the candy coating of the eye color(s) you chose and melt it in a pastry bag 15 seconds at a time, squeezing the bag to mix the candy until it is squeezable. With scissors cut the end off the pastry bag and place a small amount in the center of the eyeball cake pop for the iris part of the eye. Once you have done all of those go back to each one and do the same with a smaller amount on the center of the cake pop with the black candy coating for the pupil of the eye. Let all of the candy coating harden and you are all done.
