I'll admit it, I'm getting old. There's no getting around it. Most days I feel my age but there are other days when I feel twice my age plus some. I have trouble with my lower back and my knees. I can blame my knees on my glory days of cheerleading and gymnastics. My lower back didn't start giving my problems until after I had Little B. I was going to put him down in his crib one afternoon and as I was walking across the floor my lower back kinked up and gave out on me. Thankfully the baby landed in the crib as I went down to the floor. Once I was able to finally get myself up I canned Daddy B crying that I had all most dropped the baby. Never mind that I fell in the floor in pain I was just upset that I could've dropped him. Ever since then (all most 8 years now) my lower back will give me fits, sometimes from cleaning our shower, sometimes from sleeping and sometimes just from walking. I have knee braces and a heavy duty back brace. Sometimes I need more than just the support from the braces and that's when I pull out "Wahlly". "Wahlly" is what we call my Wahl Deluxe Heat Therapy Massager. I thought Wahl only made hair clippers/ trimmers *oops*
I may be just a stay at home mom but most days that title comes with a lot of work. I can have a busy day and have 20-30 minutes to myself before bed to use any of the 9 massager heads to help my muscles relax and not be so tense and sore as they get some times. What Mom wouldn't enjoy a massage right?
The Deluxe Therapy Massager comes in a nice storage/carry case that holds the corded massager and all 9 massager heads. The 9 interchangeable massager heads include:
Muscle Kneading Attachment
Knuckle & Joint Attachment
Deep Muscle Attachment
General Body Attachment
I use the heat attachment for my knees and back most all the time. I use the deep muscle attachment on my back also. The scalp attachment head is also very nice to have. I am battling with constant headaches lately and the scalp massage helps ease the headaches a little and combined with my other methods I can usually get rid of a headache pretty quickly. The booklet included with the Wahl Heat Therapy Massager gives you pictures of each attachment head, the name of it and the typical use for each one making it easy to know what you want to use when you need it.
The heat therapy attachment head is the only attachment head that works with the heat button on the massager. You can tell which it is because it is red and the rest of the attachments are black. I enjoy the heat attachment with the variable speed dial up about middle ways for my knees. I can't handle the speed all the way up on my legs because it tickles me too much. I can handle it on my lower back though. I enjoy the use of my Wahl Deluxe Heat Therapy Massager very much. Maybe I'll get some free massage coupons for mother's day from Daddy B?
Speaking of Mother's Day *ahem* (It's May 13th guys) if you would like to buy a massager for Mom you can find the Wahl 4295 Deluxe Heat Therapy Massager on Amazon right now for $39. It's usually $44 at the most so $39 is a good price. Mom will thank you for it I'm sure. Do you know a Mom that could enjoy a Mom Relief Package? If so you need to go like the Wahl Facebook page and enter the Wahl Mom Relief Initiative contest. All you have to do is post a comment telling them why the mom in your life deserves relief.
